What did I do as a founding designer

at an early-stage startup?

GeeksforGeeks is an interactive and engaging educational portal that provides well written,
well thought and well-explained solutions for coding problems.

Designed a new visual identity system

As the company began selling their curated programming courses, It needed a visual refresh to showcase the new aspects of the brand while still appealing to the programming enthusiasts.
I designed a new visual identity system to create a cohesive brand presence.

Designed app screens and newsletters

In July 2020, We launched our android app, which created a need for UI designs. As a visual designer, I designed various screens for the first version. The management used to provide the wireframes for the same while the devs helped us out with UI patterns. Months later, I also created a digital newsletter that could be attached to marketing emails.

Designed immersive webpages

I designed various web pages and elements for GFG events and competitions including Coderita, Geeks Summer Carnival and Geek-O-lympics. I received content from the marketing team and curated designs based on what I knew back then about web design. Here's a webpage that I designed for coderita, an exclusive coding competition for women. Yeah, you can scroll it!

Designed graphics and advertisements

As one of the early designers on the team, I often found myself creating graphics and other collaterals to help support the organisation by growing its social media presence and generating revenue through impactful ad-tech and banners.

yeah, I even designed a Magazine

In August 2020, We launched a convenient newsletter with top monthly programming articles, trending industry news and expert career advice. The impact was impressive as we managed to get 30k downloads unfailingly for each month till May 2021.
